ABOUT ONTARIO FESTIVALS VISITED

Several years ago Judi and I started to visit Ontario festivals. Because of Judi’s artistic background and my interest in art, we tended to visit art events. Since then we have been involved in the creation and participation of several different events. Our involvement has broadened our scope considerably.

As event managers and consultants, we needed to expand our knowledge about festivals and events as much as possible. To do this we are visiting and evaluating numerous Ontario festivals, events and attractions.

Since April 2007, we have been visiting Ontario festivals, events and attractions almost every weekends and sometimes during the week when possible. We have found the festivals and events that we have visited extremely interesting. We thought others would find them interesting too, so we started a Blog and placed it on our website www.steponeconnections.com. I have been writing Gary’s Blog ever since.

Although the information, when written on Gary’s Blog is current at the time of writing, over time it becomes history. Judi and I felt that in the future that the festival and event stories would become relevant to people who like to attend festivals but would like more, independent information, before attending. The Ontario Festivals Visited (OFV) website has been created to help festival lovers learn more about Ontario festivals, events and attractions in a very personal way. In order to accomplish this, we are transferring the festival stories from Gary’s Blog to the OFV website. We have changed the format a little, but the essence of the stories remains the same. It should be noted that these stories are from our point of view (festival enthusiasts) and they talk about only the time we were actually at each festival. They are intended to be only a "Snap Shot" of the festival. To see full activities, we recommended visiting each festivals' official website. We have included the website address at the beginning of each story. Because we are doing these stories independently, we may have misspelled a name or two or we may have misunderstood some facts. If we have, we apologize to the festival and event organizers. If we are contacted with the correct information editor@ontariofestivalsvisited.ca we will correct the story immediately.
